Weed and Feed has an active ingredient of propanoic Acid that is also used as a food preservative it does kill broad leafed plants and therefore I would suspect that it would kill Daylilies.
Anyway, we do not recommend using herbicides or insecticides here.
Propanoic acid has the following toxicological effects: With long term exposure to small amounts of propanoic acid vertebrates exhibited ulceration of the esophagus, and the stomach from consuming a corrosive substance.
However, in the body no mutagenic, carcinogenic or reproductive effects have been observed with the acid.
On a good note: Propanoic acid is really metabolized by the body and released as carbon dioxide.
So, if you do choose to use this herbicide, having it near any edible plants would not be recommended.
If it is weeds that you are wishing to dispose of, it is better to dig them up and place them in the compost bin. With the addition of leaves, in about three months, you'll have lovely compost to add to your garden.
