Stone Walkway

My husband and I have a stone walkway (with little pebbles) in our back yard. It looks great, except when it's full of weeds. We spend ALOT of time pulling weeds from it, but they grow back within a week. What can we do to prevent the weeds from coming back? We're worried that we will have to remove all of the stones and basically re-do everything.... :(

There's been a lot already written on that, which you can find by typing weed control and other variants into the search box at upper left of most pages. But here's a few starter tips. Pour boiling water over them; pour vinegar on them. Pour salt water or plain salt on them--if you never want to grow anything on that spot again, it sterilizes the soil for a long time. Concentrated solution of dish detergent and water sprayed on them. Spray with Roundup if you don't mind using poison in your yard. Roundup is used by people who try to avoid poisons, because it breaks down pretty fast and isn't persistent in the soil.
