UV Protection

I've been told there is some sort of UV cover/material that can be put over plants to keep them from burning up. I live in East Texas and we have been having some very high temps already this year. I water my plants everyday but due to the heat the leaves are burning up and te plants have slowed in their growth.
I would appreciate any information you all might have on this.

You might be looking for what is called shade cloth. The kind I have is green, but it comes in beige and black, also. It comes in different weaves, to block various amounts of light. I don't know what to suggest for you in terms of how much light you want to block. I've never used mine with plants. I used it when I was a wildlife rehabilitator, to screen wild animals from the view of people passing by my house. I'm sure others will be able to give you more detailed help. :)
