Trimming a Hicks Yew
I have two Hicks Yews which are now about 8' tall. How are they supposed to be trimmed? My landscape person said not to trim the tops because this would lead to the Yew getting really wide which I do not want to have happen. They are about to touch the eaves of the house!!! Are the sides supposed to be trimmed to make them rounded or are they supposed to be left in a more natural looking shape. Thanks for any help you can give me.
