bouganvallia blossoms but no leaves

Does anyone have any idea why my bouganvallia has absolutely no leaves on it but plenty of blossoms?

I haven't grown bougainvillea, but have bonsai friends that have, and this sounds like a watering issue. The plant likes to dry between waterings, but then needs a good soaking (to permeate the soil top to bottom). Blooms often continue in stressed plants; they think they're dying so they try to set seed to assure continuity of species... Too much water could be the culprit just as easily as not enough...

Try changing the watering schedule to once a week, actually setting the pot in a basin of water or some such thing. Let me know how it turns out...
