Re-colour paving?

The paving slabs in my garden are a nasty colour although I have cleaned them. Does anyone know if there are any colouring agents that can be used?

There are masonry stains on the market. You can also paint masonry, but I don't recommend that. The people from whom I bought my house had painted the patio to match the exterior house paint. I thought it looked awful, and hired someone to remove it. I don't think I would care for the appearance of painted paving, even if it were done in a more natural color. That's just my personal opinion, however.
