Drip irrigation, so smart, so easy!

Don't know why I waited so long, but installed some drip irrigation this spring and will continue to expand the system. Here are the components of mine with some notes. My system components plus more are available at Lowes.

25 psi pressure reducer about $5.

Hose connector. Simply twist on main line. A couple of dollars. Couplings, elbows, and tees are available at very minimal cost.

Puncture the main line push fitting into place. Five of these fittings plus five drip emitters cost just a few dollars.

Drip emitters simply plug into the small tubing. Main line tubing and small rubber tubing to emitters cost about $25 for a fifty foot setup.

Here is a section of the main line, showing a couple of drip emitters going to individual tomato plants.

I now have about 90 feet of drip hose and my cost is perhaps $65, with maybe 1 hour to connect everything.

The sell an attachment to close the end of the main line. I just fold the tube twice and twist tie wire around it, and that works fine.
