Please Help ID

My friend just moved into a new house and found this plant stashed away in a closet by the previous owners. Please help identify. Any tips on how to care for this plant would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.[img]https://kaseydiaz6851.fotopic.net[/img]

Wow - they stashed that in a closet?
Unfortunately, I do not know the name of it. I have seen some palms like it, and have even had one at one point in time - but let me dig around and see if I can find it for you.

Not 100% but I think it's Cordyline terminalis, in really rough shape, but I think that's it...Google some images and compare...
