Paperwhites

About this time every year I purchase a couple of Paperwhites to bloom in the house because of their physical beauty and their amazing fragrance.

Is it possible to transplant these bulbs to my flowerbed and have them bloom in the next year?

Absolutely! After they have stopped blooming, let them die back naturally, and then plant them in your garden where you would like them. When you plant them, sprinkle a little bonemeal in the bottom of the hole first. They may be a little out on the timing for a little bit, because the ones you bought have been forced to bloom at a certain time, but they will straighten themselves out. If they don't bloom at the right time this year, they will the next!
