Flowering Shrub? ID help needed!

Thanks for your help, I am trying to figure out whether a shrub-thing I have is poisonous to my pets or not. I've brought it indoors and the dog was chewing on a leaf, so I'm worried...

It's Bougainvillea, and not poisonous

I thought it was a hibiscus.

Nope, bouganviellia.
BTW, that does very well in full sun, I've never known it to do well indoors or in much shade.
