I was looking at a house today (for sale) that has some flowers about to bud outside. The leaves that have popped up are long and somewhat narrow, maybe an inch wide? They get wider towards the top, and have very rounded tops. I'd really really like to know what they are!
I unfortunately didn't take a picture, but I'll be going back on thursday to look at the house again, and will remember my camera!
Thanks!
Maybe hyacinths?

They come in other colors besides purple. White and pink are common.
ETA: Just in case you aren't familiar with the plant, hyacinths grow from bulbs.
