Do Italian Cypress (Cupressus Sempervirens) do well in TX?

In southern California, Italian Cypress trees do very well, but I am wondering in anyone knows if the central Texas climate is favorable for them? They seem pretty hardy, but I haven't really noticed if they seem to grow well there.

Not hardy for me so no experience, but from the sounds of this description, should do great once it has established...
