30% and 45% Vinegar.

Today I leaned garden stores sells, 1 gallon jugs of 30% vinegar for $25. and 1 gallon of 45% vinegar for $20. Sold as organic weed and grass killer. I have never seen 30% & 45% vinegar before. My garden has very few weeds & grass I learned how to not have that.

I see 39% vinegar sold in Lowe's and Home Depot, as a "cleaning agent".

30% vinegar kills weeds by ruining the soil dropping the pH to about 3 and making it incompatible with life for awhile. It is used mainly for pathways and where you don't want anything to grow for awhile. It is also a good degreaser. I use regular vinegar in the laundry and it is also good for cleaning the washer especially if the clothes are greasy or you have a front loader which have a lot of mold problems because people don't clean out the door gasket often enough and don't leave the door and soap drawer open. You cannot use vinegar on aluminum and it can snap caulk.
