Wow, I've never heard of a variegated hosta. That sounds pretty neat. Years ago when I used to work on ground maintenance in the summers at a local gov't institution we planted a hosta garden on the North Side of the main building on year. Really nice. That is when I was turned on to hostas.
Let us not forget Daylilies, they are gorgeous as well.

Yup - there are some COOL hostas out there.
Stained Glass is next on my list to get.
Here are some:

And here's the one with the funky leaf!

Thanks for the open arms folks.....feels nice. Hostas can become very addictive and there's so many beautiful varieties out there that many aren't aware of, not to mention how carefree they are as well. I have started to hybridize hostas the past 6 yrs and that in itself is so fun, but talk about needing lots of patience. Grey that 2nd pic, what is that growing through the center of your hosta LOL? The last one is a cutie and I believe I know the name of that variety, but it escapes me right now. I do have a bunch of hosta/garden pics of mine here https://spaces.msn.com/hostas4hummer/ if you want to look at them when/if your bored. Hmmmm maybe we need an area to discuss shade gardening?
