help me bring my bonsai back to life!!!

I have a fig bonsai, and well the leaves have all dropped off, and the roots are showing, how can I revive it????

Hello and welcome. First don't panic, Ficus are pretty resilient so the chances of a recovery are good. Can you please post some pictures? If you don't know how look [url=https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3724]here[/url] for two options on third party hosting sites.

I'm not sure exactly what to make of the exposed roots, sometimes this is done deliberately as a design feature. It is also possible that the plant lost some soil due to being potted too high or even being knocked over. Pictures will help in this regard.

In the meantime do not try to overcompensate by over-watering. Keep the tree moist but not constantly wet. In your next post please either picture or describe the soil. Is it dense and peaty or coarse and gritty?

Sometimes Ficus tend to shed their leaves when they are moved to a new environment so a little history would be useful as well.
