How to take care of this Bonsai reduced at B&Q?

Hi I bought a Bonsai tree yesterday from B&Q, it was reduced from £15 to £5, I gave it a good watering and put it on my coffee table which gets some sun as the room is south facing, got up this morning and a few leaves had fallen off.
Looking for some advice, should I put it on the window sill? Or outside during the daytime?
I have attached a picture of it, it's lovely and I want to make sure that it thrives :D

Hi! Sorry you didn't get a response. I missed your post the first time around.

To start with, here's some good reading about basic bonsai care:

Your bonsai may be a ficus, which is the commonest broadleaf bonsai, but I'm not completely sure of that. In any case, sitting in the middle of the room is not enough light for a tree, except maybe a few shade types. It should be on a window sill. It should not go in and out. Trees are rooted creatures and don't like that much change. But once temps are staying over 60 deg F, it should go outside and stay out for the season. You will have to "harden it off," that is gradually expose it to light and outdoor conditions. When you bring it out, put it in a very protected place where it only gets diffuse light (diffuse light outdoors is so much more intense than direct light on the window sill indoors) and no wind, for a few days. If it is doing okay with that you can gradually bring it out to more exposure. If it is a ficus, even hardened off, it only wants morning sun, not hot afternoon sun.
