juniper jumped

My juniper was blown off the window sill and suffered a major broken branch, but not completely severed. How can I repair it?

As long as there is unbroken cambium on the bottom of the branch you should be able to pull this off. Match the bark edges together as tightly as you can (cut old wood as necessary to accomplish), Wrap in nursery tape or even plastic wrap and secure the branch in place to minimize movement. Check in a month or so and cut any dead edges where the bark meets; rewrap and repeat until the bark marries...

Unlikely you will be able to do this if the bottom cambium is broken; if so then start reviewing other styling possibilities. Change can be good, even if the catalyst seems adverse...
