Can my juniper bonsai be saved?

My bonsai...

Today I bought a young juniper bonsai. I noticed that it has some brown "leaves" towards its center, and the person there said it would be fine. But after reading a little bit, I started to think otherwise. The picture above is what I am describing, obviously. So, what can I do? Please note: it is only a couple of inches tall from the top of the pot. Please help!

Well harden it off and get it outside as soon as you can. It is not a house plant and see what happens.
