HI AL I'm NEW TO THE FORUM AND NEW TO BONSAI'S I JUST GOT A BONSAI YESTURDAY FROM VICTORIA GARDEN CENTRE NEAR WERE I LIVE I THINK ITS A AZELEA IF I HAVE SPELT IT RIGHT ITS SAID A TREE OF A THOUSAND STARS ON A RED LABEL WHEN I GOT IT . SO I WAS JUST WOUNDERING IF ANY OF YOU COULD HELP ME ON LOOKING AFTER IT I CARNT FIND A BOOK ANY WERE I NO NOT TO START FEEDING IT UNTIL MARCH PLACE IT IN A WARM NONE DRAFTY PLACE PLENTY OF LIGHT NOT DIRECT SUNLIGHT THATS ABOUT IT SO

Hello and welcome to the forum. Tree of a thousand stars is the common name for Serissa foetida not Azalea. This is a sub-tropical evergreen and should be protected from low temperatures. They have the reputation of being difficult to keep. Look here for some information on basic care.

This is a species that is not in my collection but there are some others here who do grow them, perhaps they will see this. I will edit the title of this thread to better reflect the subject.
