leaf growth

I have a tree that I planted in the ground about 8 yrs. ago. I dug it up this past March and put it in a wooden box. It seems to like the transfer too much. There is new leaf growth at the end of a branch with leaves 1&1/2 times larger than all the others. Is this normal ? should I cut them off otr leave them alone?

Jon K,

I think I would err on the side of caution for now. I've killed more trees by being too aggressive than too conservative.
