PonyTail Palm Trimming?
Can anyone advise if it is ok to trim the strands on a ponytail palm? It is extremely healthy, but the strands have become so long they are touching the table. I wanted it to have a more realistic look (more like a palm). Will it be ok to trim and how much do you trim? Thanks!

dmeridethjr,
Although there are a couple of these things hanging around I have never pruned them so really have no firsthand advice for you. A search turned up this previous thread.

I also found this picture which seems to be along the lines of what you want.

I suspect that simply trimming the leaves will cause the tips to brown and start a cycle of repeated trimming.
