Moss on top soil for ficus

I was thinking, will it be a good idea to grow moss on my top soil of my ficus microcarpa?

Well I just bought this

Going to grow it in patches, keep it clear from the rim of the pot. Still keeping alot of the soil showing and will also keep it clear from the trunk

Driver170,

That's interesting. I've only ever harvested growing moss. Make sure to follow up please.

I bought it in a pack which was compressed. I'm hoping the mister will bring on the moss and humidity no doubt.

After your moss gets going you should add enough soil on the bottom to bring it up closer to the top of your pot. Like maybe a half inch below the edge. It will show off your roots and moss.
