Carmona Bonsai dead?

Hi,

I'm hoping for some help if possible?

My wife bought me a Carmona Bonsai tree for christmas but all the leaves have already wilted / gone brown and dropped off. I think I have overwatered it, is there anything I can do to revive this tree or is it too late ? :(

I have no real experience of bonsai's, this was my first attempt and it looks like it's gone horribly wrong !

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

Take it out of the pot and check the roots if they are soft and dead, it will be hard for it to come back. If not cut out the rot and trim back the top to healthy wood if there is any and repot in a regular pot with good drainage and don't over water.

Fukien tea is a weed in my yard. I cut it back to the ground and put weed killer on it and it still comes back.

You have to take it out of the pot. Healthy roots should be firm and plump. Deat roots are soft or brittle and black. If you see white fungus around the roots, it is growing on the decaying parts.
