It is still the case that you do not want two different kinds of soil in your pot.

When you are repotting, you will rinse and gently remove all the old soil from the tree roots and from the pot. Then you put the new soil in the pot, put the tree in, and then cover the roots with the new soil.

My bonsai pepper tree has just few leaves left...Is there any hope it will recover? :/
