ficus help

I have had this ficus bonsai for about 20 years now, and I have never had any problems with it. a few months ago some of the leaves started dieing. Now exactly half the bonsai has no leaves on it, I literally mean half, down the middle of the plant.

Has anyone had/seen this beffore and know how to save the half that is bare.

Upload a picture of the tree and tell us more about how long it has been in the same pot, when it was repotted last and any changes you may have made recently like move the plant to another location, change the curtains, etc.
