Hi tom,
The thing is,some trees are shades in summer but as autum approches the still scorching sun slants under the shade and burns up all that tender growth.we have veryy hot dry autum.
I need to use shade cloth but I don't want the narrow lanky growth that comes with too much shade.
I live in zone12a and bonsai should not burn if they are acclimated. Can you find a place for them to shield them from the midday sun but still give them full sun in the morning at least? Shade cloth can stil make them lanky.
Thanks for the input Imafan.
And I get you.
I probably didnt explain very well.
A tree grows close to the bonsai area.
In that area I put shade tolorant trees.
so they look ok till autum and the sun burns them.
My other trees are in full sun more or less.
I guess I should move them damit!
I have moved a few years back from up on the tundra (NH) to tropical OH. I'm wanting to wonder if a ramada with slats on the sundown-side, of a thinner shade cloth (say only 60%) might not be more what you need-want.
