As advised by Gnome, I am starting a new topic. My partner and I recently purchased a Bonsai Tree which we do not have any idea what it is. It is from the same company as Sandigirl's, Herbae Optimae Formae. I think we have all the same problems as she had (soil is packed really tight into the ceramic pot it came in, leaves are dropping), but we also are seeing what looks like white fluff on the trunk and the lower branches. We are going to see if we can find a local bonsai expert. I have uploaded the photos of the tree flickr.com (my username is jevon71 on there), but not sure how to reference them here yet as I am very new to flickr, and I cannot determine how to identify the URL for the individual photos. Need to pop out now, but will try to get more info and post again. Thanks in advance, guys.

To my eye it is a Ficus Retusa [Microcarpa].Jevon wrote:As advised by Gnome, I am starting a new topic. My partner and I recently purchased a Bonsai Tree which we do not have any idea what it is.

[After just a quick look- NO time today] Can't tell much about the 'fluff' as of yet.
