Field Raised Pine 1.5 Feet: Can this be Made into a Bonsai?

I found a small tree it is about 1 1/2 ft but it was field raised it is a pine of some sort and I only have very little time before some one gets it before me. Could I and how could I make it so it could become a bonsai tree. would I just prune the tap root, how would I do it please help me fast.

Do you have permission to collect it? It sounds as if there may be some conflict. Now is not the ideal time to collect it anyway.

You should only collect a tree if it has something to offer that you cannot get at a nursery. Take a look in the gallery at the Pine Joe got for $5.00 and ask yourself if this tree really worth the effort?

the tree had a ding that said free tree and about an half an hour ago some one took it
