snow rose trouble

My fiancee has had a snow rose for the past 6 years (not sure how old it is in total) and recently we moved to a new apartment that has central AC. Since we have moved the tree has been almost bare, except for one side, and about 2 days ago the whole thing just started to wilt. Is this due to the AC being constantly on? And if so, would setting it by an open window do the trick as we don't have a ledge to put it on outside? It never had any problems in our old apartment when it was by an open window and had some direct sun for half the day. I haven't changed my watering habits either so the only thing I can conclude is that the AC is the problem. I'm definitely no expert with gardening though so any help would do! :(

Elphie16,

Air conditioning serves not only to lower the air temperature but also lowers humidity. A humidity tray can be used to try to counter this effect.
