JUNIPER BONSAI FOLIAGE TURNING BROWN

my bonsai is almost 3 weeks old and some foliage are turning brown... please help me... I water my plant once a week and I'm in los angeles cali. my juniper bonsai stay outside 24 hours a day. what should I do please help me....

That's old inner growth dying. Your tree is fine.

Oh great....that is helpful to know. Does the tree go through this process often?

I think the current years growth (new growth) will be green, while last years growth will have turned brown. That's just how junipers are, and it's normal. Eventually, the growth thickens into woody branches. I'm guessing they do this once a year.
