brown needles

My juniper bonsai is on the porch. the soil is still wet from the watering yesterday. However, some of the needles underneath are turning brown. I watered it by dunking in water until it stopped bubbling. I read today that that is not the way it should be watered. What can I do to help the tree?

There are some excellent articles here: Check out the ones on beginners, Watering, Soil and Winter Care. https://www.bonsai4me.com/Basics.html
Please do read them and take note of his comments regarding submersion watering as well as the other articles which you will find very very informative.
