150 One Year Old Ginkos - Worry About Type of Bonsai Soil?
I have about 150 one year old Ginkos. Raised all from seeds. Some are in large containers and some in one gallons. About 30 are in bonsai containers. They all look great. Should I worry too much about the type of soil for the Bonsai? And can I start topping them and stripping leaves next spring ? I just stripped one down to nothing yesterday. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

With all those ginko's you can experiment with different ways of training them.

Yea...that's what I am planning on doing. I am a horticulturist of 40 years and have grown just about everything. Never deal with bonsais to any degree. People say I can grow pop cycle sticks. So I will play around with them and have fun. Thanks for the comment.
