Chinese elm Bonsai has lost all it's leaves
Hi I recently got my first first Chinese Elm bonsai tree and it has lost all its leaves. I had to trim the roots a few weeks ago as they were too long for the pot size. I think I may have over trimmed them. I then re-potted it with new soil and have been watering it every 3 days since. The leaves started to turn brown and they have now all fallen out. Is there anything that I can do to save it? The trunk is still green under the first layer of bark which suggests there is still a chance of recovery. It is in an indoor environment with plenty of light. Any suggestions would be much aporeciated?

MrAnderson,
Watering is often the issue with new growers.Try using what we have been calling the chopstick method to determine what is going on under the surface of the soil. You can find this method outlined here:

Is the space air conditioned? Pictures would also help.
