New Bonsai HELP

I just bought a new bonsai today, a Tea Tree. Ive read that this tree is very hard to care for, and i really don't want it to die after a couple of days. i have also bought a bonsai basics book but i am getting totally confused with it all. are they any simple step by step guides to help me with what i hope is the first of many mini trees!!

Thanks

Welcome sam,

Do you mean a Fukien Tea tree?

If so, They can be finicky. Here is a care sheet: https://www.bonsai4me.com/SpeciesGuide/Carmona.html

You might also read the stickys at the top of the forum as well as the intro/beginner pages here: https://www.bonsai4me.com/Basics.html

Do also check out the ones on watering, Indoor culture and soil [On that link] as they are relevant to you. List your location in your profile if you would please.

Please do stop stressing out about 'immediate death' as practically nothing happens in bonsai in 'a couple of days'.. [Living] Trees just don't react that fast. :D

I am glad to hear you have a start on a bonsai library [Always good 8)].

The most effective way for us help clear up any confusion you may have is for you to ask specific questions as bonsai is far too broad a topic for us to address everything.
