Hello,
My name is Jenneffer, I am 16 years old. I am very interested in growing a Bonsai tree and need some advice. I want to grow a Bonsai pine tree, but I don't know if it would work to plant it myself or what kind of plant I should look for if I would do the self-planting. Also I know nothing on what kind of soil to use or how much to water it. Please send me some information!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am glad that you are seeking guidance first. Bonsai is a very broad subject that can take years to become proficient at. You will have successes and failures along the way but always there is a lesson.

Please do some research on your own. We will try to help as much as possible but there is no substitute for the desire to learn.
Now a little about your questions, soil composition and watering practices will be very dependent upon which species you choose. Again, please look to our stickies for basic information.
A Pine may not be your best choice right now, they are somewhat difficult to manage if mature and if not you will spend years growing one out.
If you are interested in a Pine I assume that you have a suitable location outside as Pines are grown outside. If you wish to have a tree inside, over the winter, then a tropical such as Ficus will be required. I am partial to Chinese Elms and Zelkova. The latter is deciduous and requires a dormant period. The Chinese Elms can be kept inside throughout the winter but I don't keep mine this way, in your climate they should do well.
Do some reading, if you go to the gallery there is a thread about [url=https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3343]Inspirational Bonsai.[/url] Google can lead to much information as well. Give us some more information such as your level of experience with gardening in general. I'm sure some others will chime in here as well.
