Juniper Leaves Nearest Trunk Turning Brown

Hello,
this is my 1st day on this list and I'm in need of assistance.
I have a Juniper Bonsai. The leaves farthest away from the trunk are lush and beautiful. The growth nearest the trunk is turning brown.
Any help would be appreciated.

the inner branches of junis will die without adaquite light no big deal as long as the outside branches are growing good
