How much time?

HI,

How much time are you able to devote to these Bonsai?

I would lolve to get into them but worried about the time factor.

Hi Rokky,

Welcome,

To answer your question: 'As required'.

If your actually asking: 'How much time does it take?'

Well, [depending on what your doing & how many trees you have of course] It doesn't take a lot of time... A lot of time is spent waiting to do something actually.

Rockky,

Hello. How long does bonsai take? Years, decades, a lifetime. How much time in any one day? Sometimes, depending on how many trees we are talking about, as little as a few minutes.

You need to monitor your trees daily but this does not mean that action is taken every single day. When action is required the vast majority of the time it will simply be watering. On the quick side, it takes about 10 minutes to water correctly. During the winter long periods may pass with nothing being required.

There are of course other activities related to bonsai but they occur infrequently. Most of your time is spent waiting. The real question is are you patient enough to put years into trying to improve a tree.
