spider mites or fungus?

:( Need help. The leaves of our ficus bonsai are dropping off dramatically. The leaves are somewhat mottled, some have dark round circular spots. They turn brownish before falling off.

The leaves and branches have minute white crystal-like, fuzzy looking things. It's weird because they kind of sparkle but are kind of fuzzy too. They are too small to identify with a magnifying glass. They don't seem to be moving so not sure if they're spider mites or what.

We got this bonsai mail order about 6 months ago.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

would appreciate any advice before plant is dead.

a pic of the leaves and tree would help.

try spraying the leaf with water and small amounts of soap,

or try rubbing off the mites by hand!

also
make sure grow condition are ideal, high humidity, plenty of light. etc.

a vigorously growing tree is more resistance to bugs
