Identification help needed please

I live in France and can't find the English name for this little tree:

I was told it's 7-9 years old.
I am brand new to bonsais and would appreciate any links or advice you might have to best care for this tree.

Sorry about the out of focus pictures

I think you may be right except the leaves on my plant don't have a "dotted" or what looks like a sort of spiky edge.

But I suspect it's close enough to be closely related so I'll start there!

Any tips on how I should trim it?

Many times trees with compound leaves can be challenging to style. I have seen a nice example of this species in a sort of broom style.
