winter time is aproaching. this is my first winter and I nee

Ok. Some of my plants will go to the local green house.. Its costly per
month but my home has poor lighting. I will need to house some of the
plants. I see LED lights for 250$ they are lower wattage. There are higher wattage but
in energy can be very costly. Also I need a terarrium, is an aquarium ok or is there
something better. Also what about lighting? This is for about 5 6x7" pots so not a huge
amount of space is needed. Are there sites that sell this stuff?
Plants are less then 1' tall.

Thanks

The LEDs are way too pricey to be considered as options. It will take you 15 years, at average KWh costs, to make up the difference between LED and T5HO lighting, given the same PAR output. Depending on the width of the trees, you should be able to get what you've detailed into a 20g LONG. At about 30", you could probably use a 24", 96W T5HO system. This will run you about $65. You could go a bit longer, if necessary, and get a 30g long, at 3' the fixture would be 156W and cost about $80. Both fixtures are available readily from aquatraders.com and come with lamps. The lamp life is about 3 years.

Oops, about 3 years running 14 hours per day, 365 days. You might, running only in fall and winter, get twice the life out of the bulbs.
