Bonsai Identification?

Hi! I'm really really new to this, but I'm excited to learn more. I was given a young will-hopefully-eventually-become-a-bonsai-if-I-can-manage-not-to-kill-it plant for my birthday, and I have a pot and some bonsai soil (Conifer Mix) and some wire, but I wanted to make sure what kind of plant I had before I try to transfer it to a pot and make sure I can even use wire with it, and then how to use wire, and yeah. It's got tiny green leaves that are ovalish with a point at the end and are outlined in white, and tiny white flowers.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you so much!

Brynhild,

Firstly, slow down. If you don't kill this thing you will have it for years if not decades. It is not necessary to do it all this week. Forget the wire and repotting for now and concentrate on keeping it alive. It sounds like it might be a Serissa, see below. If so they can be difficult to manage. Check out the links and see what you think. Try to give it good light but not too close to a cold window especially at night. Don't water until the soil dries out a bit. Soggy is bad. A little water frequently is bad.

EDIT: I did not see the picture at first, I must not have waited long enough for it to load. Still check out the pics and let us know what you think.

Thank you for the info! Yeah, it definitely looks identical to the second picture. I started browsing a few sites now that I know what it is, and it seems like the consensus is repot in early spring, so I can wait on that. ^_^ Thank you for the tips on watering and temperature, I feel a lot better now that I know what kind it is and a little more about how to take care of it.

Brynhild,

Now that you have identified it here is a link that should help with cultural requirements, the others were primarily for identification purposes.
