Paddles,

Do you know what species it is? You are in Australia right, and it is the beginning of your growing season? Just making sure. Can you post a picture

This year I started some Pines from seed and I fertilized them with water soluble fertilizer regularly ( no more than once a week, no less than every two weeks) throughout the summer. Did you say elsewhere that you have the B.T. pine book? It documents a regimen of super feeding for younger trees.

I rotated my feeding between a balanced fertilizer and an acidifying formula. I also used home made fertilizer cakes. You do have it in good sun right? unless it is really ill I think I would.

Paddles,

It looks pretty good. Is it possible that this is just the new growth? I have some Spruces in my yard that exhibit an almost lime green color until the foliage hardens off.

The top of your tree will probably need to be reduced in order to favor some of the lower branches before they decline due to being shaded out. If you search Brent Walston's Blog there is information on developing Pines in there somewhere.

My current theory is that after christmas, I'll chop away, there's lots of branches that need thinning, don't want to do it till after christmas tho, It was fairly cheep $10- Au.
