Blue Star juniper help
I acquired a more mature juniper specimen from lowes about 2 months ago, and potted and cleaned out some of the undergrowth. Since then the tree has lived outside in my bonsai display in full sun for atleast 6+ hours a day. I am careful not to over water and allow the soil (a well draining bonsai mix) to begin to dry before watering, I also as suggested on several bonsai sites for junipers mist the foliage to remove dust and help with water absorption. I fertilize once a week during the spring and summer. In the last 4 days several of my green offshoots seem to be dying, turning brown and hard and then falling off. Is my tree just getting baked in this heat wave with too much time in the sun or does anyone have suggestions?
