Pruning Pine trees

I have recently collected young pine trees that I'd like to bonsai.
These trees are nothing like the evergreens I already had.
The evergreens I already had are cedars and Junipers.

Question:
Do I prune them in the same manor (pruning all downward growth)?

To show more what I'm talking about I got pictures from the internet to show you all in more specific detail

The neddles are long like a tree that produces pinecones much like this

Show what in more specific detail? What detail are we supposed to get from these pictures?

If they are saplings, Why would you be pruning them at all?
Keep in mind that unchecked growth is how one increases the size [Girth] of both branches and trunks, If pruning is on the agenda though.

A simple explanation of how to go about pruning pines: https://www.bonsai4me.com/AdvTech/ATPine%20Pruning.html
