Basics of Pruning and Watering a Flowering Bonsai?

Hi all,

I just received a flowering bonsai (the nickname of this particular tree is the "paper flower bonsai") and I am totally in the dark with regards to its care. How often should I water the tree? and when do I need to begin pruning?
