Soil Question
Turface or Akadama? Just interested in hearing some thoughts and reviews. Thanks.

I don't use turface. And because I buy it in bulk through our club, it's not a cost factor for me. It averages about $12 a bag or so. Because I can get it in different sizes I have on hand the partical size which is appropriate for whatever tree is being worked on. I amend it with some composted bark and other non-organics, but it is a primary component. It makes a great top dressing when planted with scattered moss as it is very attractive when moist.
