Trident maple

I have propagated japanese maple seeds before and I know that the seedlings are never a genetic copy of the mother plant. My question is, how you can get seedlings of the trident maple? If you plant seeds from a trident maple will all the seedlings have a three blade pattern? thanks for the help.

I do believe a trident maple is a stable species they have to have the three leaf pattern to b a trident (it means 3 points). japenesse maples have been so messed with genetically to achieve the leaf, bark and growing habit differences that its hard to get a mother like seedling.
