Bonsai Novice needs help

Can someone please help my wife purchased me what was sold as a bonsai I attach photos of the tree. I need to know if this is an inside one or outside one. It has started to shed leaves inside the house wonder if it is too hot for it. I live in Saudi Arabia but at present it is winter so plants are happy outside. I have a shaded area that it can be placed during summer months.

scoobscrappy,

You are correct in seeking to ID your plant, proper care depends upon a proper ID. In order to post photos here you must first upload them to a hosting service and then post the link/s here. This thread gives some information on how to do this.

I think people who did not have their own photobucket account would not have been able to see your pictures the way you linked them. I just pasted in the IMG codes that are at the bottom of the code list under each picture.

Your tree looks like a ficus to me. I'm not familiar with your climate, but here are some things to consider: Ficus will not do well in temperatures below 60 or so degrees Fahrenheit (15.5 C?), they like partial sunlight and a decent amount of humidity. Generally lighting outdoors is better than the artificial light provided indoors, but you have to consider other factors as well. Also, ficus usually lose some or many of their leaves upon making a big move, such as from the store to your home, luckily they usually recover quickly.

Thanks for your replies and confirming what I thought that is was a fiscus. Hopefully it is just stressed not surprised coming into my house with two noisy boys. :)
