today i noticed a lot of very tiny white particles on the moss of my juniper. i think they could be spores from the moss. they come off very easily, and are shaped like little circles. Has anyone ever had this before? i took some pics, but they arent very useful, as it is alomst impossible to see anything, but i can post them if anyone wants to see.
Moss does not produce spores but, it might be gemmules which are the assexual reproction of bryophytes (mosses).
Though, I would think that the white stuff is probably a fungal spore of some sort. I wouldn't be to concerned unless your tree is showing an signs of an infection.
