gardenia bonsai

Hi, I got a gardenia bonsai for Mother's Day----has been blooming and very healthy. Now it has white stuff over the soil and the leaves are turning yellow! Too much water? Not enough water? I am worried.

Hi and welcome to the forum! Hope you find it friendly and helpful.

I took the liberty of moving your post from Intros to the Bonsai section, where more people will see it who might be able to answer your question. Not everyone takes the time to read the intros, which are basically just for saying hi.

dt,

I have never worked with this species and was hoping someone with experience might jump in. It sounds like you might be watering too frequently but that's just a guess. Sorry I can't be of any more help. Does anyone else have any thoughts.

Norm
